Wishing for you always

In my mind there’s a whisper
Wishing a wish to come true
In my heart there’s a prayer
Praying and wishing for you

In my dreams I hear you calling
Awaken to find it not true
In the dark tears start falling
Sitting silently thinking of you

I’ll climb the highest mountain
I’ll even set sail the seas
To reach the paradise I’m looking for
Paradise is you loving me

In the end I wish to tell you
That deep down from my heart
That my love for you is none but true
Since I met you from the start

Personal Comments

I wrote this when I was in my teens and over the years have tried to rewrite the 3rd and 4th paragraphs. Even back then I found it rather corny. This however was the original version that I wrote and the first two paragraphs remain till this day one of my favourite works.
